A Business Administrator handle day-to-day tasks in an office and make sure things run smoothly, 97% of employees say that having effective administration is essential to their businesses and they have a crucial job.

The term “administration” is a role that covers organising people and resources, including, executive assistants, secretaries, administration assistants, data entry clerks and office juniors. So without an Administrator, finding information would be hard, meetings would be missed and businesses would be less productive.

As a Business and Administration Apprentice, your duties will depend on your employer. It is likely that you will be working with a team or a member of staff to handle various tasks at hand. You may be asked to type up board meeting documents, putting financial information together in a spreadsheet, sending daily post or faxing and photocopying confidential documents. This job requires a strong sense of responsibility, accuracy and attention to detail.

As a Business or Administrator the great thing about is you can work almost anywhere. With the skills you have got you could be working for a record company or for a charity. An Administrators role are also a good starting point so you can then move on to management once you have gain more experience.
