This is an Apprenticeship for anyone that is interested in sales and management or residential property. Buying a house is the biggest purchase most of us we will make in our lives; estate agents have a serious job, they must understand the legal issues as well as commercial ones.

As a Property Service Apprentice, you would be likely to start out in a customer services role in an estate agents office. In that position you might advise people on properties that are available, arrange appointments and viewings of properties, help to market properties and put customers in touch with people who can help during the process of buying a house.

A large part of your work will most probably be in residential sales, but depending on the agency your with you could also deal with commercial properties, lettings, management of properties, auctions and selling land.

On the advanced Apprenticeship you will be getting more involved with different areas to selling properties, this will be from obtaining instructions from clients to invoicing for fees.

Whether you are finding a property for house buyers or valuing a property, you will need good knowledge of the property market having a professional attitude and good people skills. Most of your work will be “out and about” and dealing with customers face-to-face, as well as dealing with them on the phone also.
